Breast Lift Surgery and More – Bowling Green, Hopkinsville, and Clarksville Area

When nature hasn't given them the curves they desire, women seeking quality aesthetic enhancement in the Clarksville area turn to our Hopkinsville practice for breast augmentation with implants, breast reduction, and breast lift surgery. Women in the Bowling Green, Hopkinsville, and Clarksville areas who are considering breast enhancement surgery need look no further than George R. Valentini, M.D. His characteristic blend of medical knowledge and artistic talent has helped women in New York, Paris, and beyond achieve their aesthetic dreams.

Breast Augmentation

Fuller, natural-looking curves are possible for women in the Hopkinsville area through breast augmentation performed by George R. Valentini, M.D. An expert in a variety of breast augmentation techniques, Dr. Valentini is known for achieving beautiful, elegant results for women of all body types. Through breast augmentation, patients can finally have the larger cup size they have always dreamed of. Breast augmentation can also be helpful for women with sagging breasts when combined with a breast lift.

During the initial breast augmentation consultation, Dr. Valentini takes the time to get to know each of his patients, because doing so allows him to develop personalized treatment plans that are tailor-made to suit them. Depending on each woman's body type and her aesthetic goals, Dr. Valentini may recommend either saline or silicone breast implants, but the final decision lies with the patient.

Saline vs. Silicone Breast Implants

At our practice near Clarksville, we offer both saline and silicone breast implants. Whereas saline implants consist of a silicone shell filled with a salt-water solution, silicone implants are filled with silicone gel. After years of extensive testing, the FDA lifted its ban on silicone implants in 2005, approving the use of silicone-filled implants in breast augmentation patients 22 years of age and older. Many patients prefer silicone implants to saline because of their more natural look and feel. In addition, saline implants can sometimes produce a “rippled” effect. Therefore, silicone implants are often recommended for thinner women, who have less breast tissue to cover the implants. Another option for women with less breast tissue is to place the breast implants beneath the chest muscle. This allows the surgeon to create a natural look with either saline or silicone implants.

Breast Lift

Women whose breasts have begun to droop and sag due to the effects of pregnancy, significant weight loss, or age may be interested in breast lift surgery at our Hopkinsville practice serving Clarksville and Bowling Green.  With breast lift surgery, Dr. Valentini uses his extensive medical skills and aesthetic sense to restore a woman's breasts to a more youthful shape and position.

During the breast lift procedure, Clarksville-area plastic surgeon George R. Valentini employs advanced surgical techniques to lift and reshape drooping breasts. Since Dr. Valentini tailors all of his plastic surgery procedures to the specific needs of each individual, the details of the surgery may vary from patient to patient. Typically, though, three incisions are made: one encircles the nipple, the second follows the crease of the breast, and the third runs vertically between the other two incisions. These incisions allow Dr. Valentini to remove excess skin and raise the breast to a higher position on the chest. Women who would like to add more volume to their breasts can choose to have silicone or saline breast implants inserted during the procedure.

After breast lift surgery, patients of our Hopkinsville practice are usually able to return to work in about a week. However, it may take several weeks before patients can resume all of their usual activities with complete comfort and safety.

Breast Reduction

Having breasts that are large and heavy can have a negative impact on some women. Not only can heavy breasts cause emotional distress, including feelings of self-consciousness, but they can also cause physical discomfort. It is not uncommon for women with larger breasts to endure neck, shoulder, and back pain. In addition, a woman who has breasts that are overly large for her physique may have trouble finding clothing that fits properly. Fortunately, breast reduction surgery, which is frequently performed at our Hopkinsville-based practice, can alleviate many of the troubles that are associated with large, heavy breasts.

During breast reduction surgery, Dr. Valentini removes some of the breast tissue and reshapes the breasts to suit the patient's physique. The size of the areola may also be reduced to complement the new breast size and shape. Complete recovery after breast reduction surgery may take several weeks, although it is common for patients to be able to return to work within two weeks.
